Casa de Goat

And for a quick update on the goat house! This is the main project that has been going on around here the past week or so... we are scurrying to get everything ready to bring our girls home this weekend. I can't take much credit for any of this, but I'm sure I'll get my hands a little dirty in the next couple of days. For the most part, it has all been James and my dad when it comes to putting this thing together and our friend, Carl, came through on the fence!

The goat house is 8' x 15' and for now, it is most likely going to be one big room for a while. Our next project will be to separate the large room into 2 separate areas, one for the goats and one for the milking station/feed storage. Since the goats wont be ready for milking until around a year from now, we don't have to worry about that separate area just yet. 

We will be adding siding on the inside, building the doors and after that, the house will be ready for occupancy! The roofing will be on soon too and we also have some more plans for sprucing the place up... more to come on that!

I can't wait until I can bring my girls home and let them into their new pasture!
